Ever been in a situation where any outfit feels like you are doing too much or too little? Well that’s my everyday delima. Been obsessing with pictures on Pinterest as per usual, on how to style culottes and emerging trends. The leather trend stuck out to be and I was thinking on how to create a look that incorporates all that and still seem like I am not doing the most.
Whenever I scroll through Pinterest I am amazed at hoe people style things differently and how I can put my own twist to what others have done. I know that we are all different but I would want to explore if certain trends work on short and petite woman like me. Somehow I am petite until petite clothes don’t fit me well because genetics did the thing around my hips.
I have seen how people style culottes differently and somehow they all pull it off. I am always inspired by how everyone has their own take on fashion trends. I styled mine with a jersey or jumper depending on which works for you. This trend can be worn with anything ranging from crop tops, light blouse and off the shoulder tops. My take was to try it out and also tone it down to a streetwear inspired look.
I could swear on every fashion page, you know where they write fashion do’s and don’t’s and tell you how dress for your body shape, which isn’t wrong and most times guiding but I feel like they are in a way discouraging people to wear things out of their comfort zone. The reason I say this is cause am literally 1.5m tall and petite so most fashion gurus say short woman shouldn’t wear culottes. So here is to breaking rules and creating new ones.
Thank you so much for reading. What new trends do you think I should style next? Have you broken any fashion rules? if so which? I am sure you had that moment where it works for everyone but not you. Where you are all so excited to pick an item and just as you wear you, you think to yourself what was I thinking? This happens to me all the time.
As per usual please do share, comment and like this post. Do engage as it keeps me motivated to write more, share more. Much love.
